Sensory Bags

Before I had Zoe, I had no idea how much Sensory play is important for all children.  Sensory bags are easy to create, portable and inexpensive. I have found them to be an amazing asset to help with tummy time. If your child is a bit older then Zoe,(who is 4 months)  you can also tape the bag to a table or to a window for your child to easily be able to manipulate the contents and play! Sensory play impacts many areas of development including:  ⭐️Language skills – a child will expand and develop their vocabulary (this includes babbling sounds...I’ve noticed Zoe’s Vocb jump when doing these tasks she has such a bigger range of sounds now!)  ⭐️Fine motor skills – through manipulating the contents in the bag a child’s/babies fine motor skills are improved.    ⭐️Social skills – by communicating what they are experiencing and sharing sensory play with others, a child will naturally improve their social skills.
