Sensory Bags
Before I had Zoe, I had no idea how much Sensory play is important for all children. Sensory bags are easy to create, portable and inexpensive. I have found them to be an amazing asset to help with tummy time.

If your child is a bit older then Zoe,(who is 4 months) you can also tape the bag to a table or to a window for your child to easily be able to manipulate the contents and play!
Sensory play impacts many areas of development including:
⭐️Language skills – a child will expand and develop their vocabulary (this includes babbling sounds...I’ve noticed Zoe’s Vocb jump when doing these tasks she has such a bigger range of sounds now!)
⭐️Fine motor skills – through manipulating the contents in the bag a child’s/babies fine motor skills are improved.
⭐️Social skills – by communicating what they are experiencing and sharing sensory play with others, a child will naturally improve their social skills. I love to sit with Zoe and play along to so she can tell me all about what she’s exploring!
To make ones as seen on @lilzoeplays you will need:
A3 laminating pouch
Foam pieces
Googly eyes
Water
Food dye (this case red)
Hair straighter set at a low temp.
How to make:
♥️ Cut out any shapes you would like out of foam (or buy any shapes you would like!)
♥️ Get the A3 laminating paper and use a hair straighter to close both the long ends
♥️Add about 5 cups of water or about half way
♥️Add glitter, food dye, googly eyes and foam shapes ♥️ Push out all the air
♥️ Seal the top with the hair straighter - make sure where you are sealing is dry. Check if it leaks! Re seal if needed.
♥️Place your lil on their tummy’s and let your little play!
